Brian May and Roger Taylor on future Queen tours and Freddie Mercury Vegas show | Music | Entertainment
The Las Vegas Sphere has wowed audiences since opening two years ago.
The record-breaking new venue boasts a 16K resolution wraparound interior LED screen that totally immerses the 20,000-capacity arena.
Alongside the AI-enhanced version of The Wizard of Oz currently playing at the attraction, rock legends like the Eagles and U2 have performed special shows inside.
And now Queen, who are close pals with Las Vegasâ longest-running headlining comedian Carrot Top, are very interested in putting on their own residency to honour Freddie Mercury.
The Queen drummer said, âI donât think weâre done. And I donât think weâre gonna say, you know, final farewell tour or whatever. âCause it never is, is it?â The pair also confirmed theyâve been in the studio working with Adam Lambert on new material, but ânothing has materialised so farâ that would warrant a new Queen single or album just yet. Whatever the case, hopefully it wonât be too long before Queen announce their next live event following their operatic performance of Bohemian Rhapsody at the Last Night of the Proms, which went down a storm.
