Urgent recall issued for food item sold at Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury’s | UK | News

A salad item sold at a number of UK supermarkets, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, is being urgently recalled. The item is being recalled due to a “possible presence of salmonella” and shoppers are being told to return it to the store where it was bought and not to eat it.

Good4U is recalling one of the batches of its Super Sprouts Super Greens due to a possible presence of salmonella in it. All Good4U Super Sprouts Super Greens 60g packs with use by dates up to and including May 3, 2026, are affected by the recall.

No other Good4U products are affected.

Symptoms of salmonella can include a fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), and the watchdog is advising anyone who has bought the product against eating it.

Sharing details of the recall notice, the FSA also said: “If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to where you bought it. For more information, you can contact info@good4u.ie”

People experiencing salmonella symptoms should stay away from work, school or nursery for at least 48 hours after the symptoms stop to avoid passing it on to others, the FSA urged.

Point of sale notices should also be displayed in all retail stores which are selling the product, the MEN reports.

These will inform shoppers about the recall, and provide information on what to do if they have bought the item.
