Snooker LIVE: Carter match suddenly cancelled as Trump fumes at bosses | Other | Sport

After Jack Lisowski overcame Thepchaiya Un-Nooh in the Northern Ireland Open, the Cheltenham born star outlined exactly what he wanted next – his bed.

Speaking to TNT Sport following his 4-2 victory, he said: “I just think there’s no secrets to it. It’s hard work off the table.

“If you’re searching for anything at a tournament, you’re in big trouble. I’ve worked quite hard the last couple of weeks. I know what I’ve got to concentrate on in my game. I’ve not got to reinvent the wheel tomorrow.

“I’m just going to try and get a good night’s sleep and try and not get too excited and think ‘I’m on to something here.’ Sleep’s really important. I’ve probably been guilty, when I’ve done well in tournaments before, I get a bit excited.

“If you’re only getting four, five hours sleep, it’s not enough – for me, anyway. I need seven hours good sleep. I’m just going to try and get a good night’s sleep tonight!”
