Jet2 ‘transfer’ update for passengers with package holidays | Travel News | Travel


Jet2 has clarified a ’72-hour rule’ for customers with package holiday bookings. According to the travel company, Jet2.com is the UK’s third largest airline, operating from 14 UK airports. Jet2 also runs Jet2holidays, which it describes as the UK’s largest tour operator.

For travellers seeking to streamline their holiday experience, a package deal could prove a sensible choice. Customers booking with Jet2holidays receive their flights, accommodation, and transfers all included. The option could prove perfect for holidaymakers wanting to unwind from the moment they step onto their flight.

Travellers can remain relaxed throughout their entire break, safe in the knowledge that someone else has organised the travel arrangements back to the airport on departure day. All they’re required to do is arrive at the transfer collection point on time.

According to Jet2, this information is provided to travellers 72 hours in advance. The travel company confirmed this on social media following a passenger’s enquiry. @Jet2tweets, which is the official X account for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, regularly addresses passenger questions.

In a recent interaction, a customer asked: “Why is your rep in Kefalos telling guests that transfer times will no longer be displayed on accommodation notice boards?” A member of the social media team replied, explaining the policy, reports the Mirror.

The response said: “Hi Jeff, your transfer pick-up time will be available in our app 72 hours before you’re due to head home and we’ll also send you a SMS and an email too if we have your contact information. If you are having any issues with getting your transfer information, please send us a DM.”

Jet2’s website has more information about transfers and offers an FAQ for customers. The page says: “Your transfer pick-up time will be available in our app 72 hours before you’re due to head home. You can also track your departure transfer on your departure day in selected destinations in our Jet2 app, using our Live Transfer Status option.

“You can also find it in the information guide and on our Jet2holidays noticeboard at your hotel 72 hours beforehand too. We’ll also send you a SMS and an email if we have your contact information.”

Jet2holidays is rated ‘excellent’ on Trustpilot, with an average score of 4.4 out of five. One customer shared: “I have used Jet2 for my last two holidays to Benidorm and found their services to be great. There is always someone on hand to help you with whatever questions you have. Holiday documents sent out promptly and the return coach information was 72 hours from departure. Will definitely use them in the future.”
