Currys dishes out impressive iPad rival at a price even Argos won’t match

Yes, the iPad still rules the tablet market, but buying one isn’t exactly cheap. With recent price hikes being announced by Apple, even the entry-level model now starts from well over £400. If that sounds way too much to pay right now, there is another option that’s not only cheaper but also comes with extra storage for all those files, photos and movies.

Currys has just launched an offer on Samsung’s Galaxy A11+ device, which comes packed with an 11-inch full HD display, Dolby Atmos-powered speakers and long battery life and rapid charging.

There’s also a fast processor MediaTek MT8775 octa core inside, a single rear camera and facial recognition for easy screen unlocking.

One big bonus of buying this tablet from Currys is that the UK store is also offering double storage for free and dropping the overall cost.

The RRP of the Galaxy Tab A11+ is £329, but that cost has been dropped to just £209, plus there’s 256GB of memory thrown in at no extra cost.

As a quick guide, buying an iPad with 256GB of storage costs a whopping £529 – that’s £300 more than this current Galaxy Tab offer. Of course, the Galaxy A11+ doesn’t run on Apple’s iPadOS and won’t easily connect to other Apple devices such as the iPhone.

It does, however, still get a sleek design, 90Hz screen for stutter-free scrolling, full access to Android and millions of apps, plus there’s a two-year guarantee.
