Argos confirms huge AirPods price cut but we’ve found an even cheaper deal
Apple’s AirPods Max are some of the most popular over-ear headphones on the market, and now there’s an eye-catching deal that makes these premium cans feel a little more affordable. Argos has just confirmed an AirPods Max price cut, dropping the price from £499 to a slightly more reasonable £424. That offer is available across the entire range of colours including Blue, Starlight, Purple and Black.
Now, before you tap that buy button, there are some things to be aware of. Firstly, the model on offer isn’t the latest version of these headphones, as Apple recently announced its new AirPods Max 2.
Another reason to think before buying from Argos is that Currys has an even better deal with the Max on sale for just £399 – that’s a whopping £100 off.
Although the older AirPods Max don’t have updates, such as the latest H2 chip, more refined sound and improved Adaptive Audio, they remain a solid choice.
Owners get decent active noise cancellation (ANC), great sound, a premium design that’s comfy to wear and a Transparency mode that lets you hear the world around you
They also get a smart design with easy controls, including the twistable Digital Crown, which pumps up the volume without searching for fiddly buttons.
Charging is also improved via a USB-C connection, and they last for over 20 hours before needing a refill.
It’s worth noting that Amazon is also selling the previous generation AirPods Max for £399.
