Liverpool academy graduate Luke Hewiston has announced that he is leaving Anfield this summer.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper went on loan to Stalybridge Celtic earlier this season and became a regular in the starting XI, but the promising spell wasn’t enough to extend his stay on Merseyside.

“It’s been a privilege to be able to work alongside some of the best to ever play the game over the past 5 years,” said Hewiston.

“Thank you to all the players, coaches and staff from behind the scenes for making this part of my career so enjoyable. Thank you, @liverpoolfc.”
