Reports of an “altercation” in the centre of Rotherham have emerged. The clash, it is claimed, took place outside Pound Bakery, near a B&M in the centre of the town. 

Local radio Rother Radio took to X to report: “BREAKING: Reports of a major incident developing in Rotherham Town Centre. It is thought that an altercation took place outside the Pound Bakery close to B&M. One person has believed to have gone to Hospital.”

South Yorkshire Police confirmed a man, 53, was stabbed outside Old Town Hall, with officers called to the scene just after midday on Thursday (April 17).
