The town can be found halfway between Lincoln and Nottingham, making it an ideal location for those who also want to be well-connected to larger cities.

Newark has been named as one of the best places to live in the country in recent years, reports Nottinghamshire Live. Over the years, Newark has consistently been among the winners.
Visit Nottinghamshire says: “Situated on the banks of the River Trent, Newark is a picturesque town steeped in history.”
It adds: “Newark’s marketplace is overlooked by the Georgian Town Hall. The town has become famous for its six annual antiques fairs, held at Newark County Showground, and thousands of antique hunters from across the world descend on the fair’s 4,000 stalls in search of a bargain.”
One popular place to visit in the area is Newark Castle, which has had a significant influence on the town’s unique character.
The remains of the castle were built in the early 12th century, although the castle itself dates back to 1068. The grounds were landscaped in 1887.

Another penned: “The grounds and the castle itself are mesmerising. Truly worth a visit. Newark Castle will always be a special place for me.”
