Island, once visited by Harry and Meghan, hits the market for £62.5m | Royal | News
The paradise island where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly enjoyed a secret getaway is now on the market for a whopping £62.5m. The exotic property, Kaibu Island in Fiji’s Lau archipelago, is being sold by Vladi Private Islands as the ‘Ultimate Package’, touted as the perfect Christmas gift.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to have spent a night at this tropical haven during their 2018 Royal tour. The island boasts an 800-acre resort, three villas, an airstrip, an aircraft, a golf course, and uniquely, its own submarine from U-Boat Worx.
The operations on the island are solar-powered and adhere to organic standards, while a desalination plant provides potable water. There are also six miles of compacted aggregate roads for any vehicles that make it there.
Farhad Vladi, CEO of Vladi Private Islands, said: “Christmas is just around the corner and the race to buy the perfect present is well and truly on. But what to buy for a person who already has it all? Enter our new Ultimate Package.”
He added: “Kaibu Island is the ultimate destination for discerning discoverers. The island itself is perhaps the most complete private island property available today.”
He concluded: “With the addition of the U-Boat Worx submarine and the Twin Otter aircraft, we are proud to present a package unlike any other on the market.”
Roy Heijdra, Marketing Manager at U-Boat Worx, expressed excitement about a novel offering, saying: “We are thrilled to be part of this extraordinary offering. Our submersibles are designed to open up the wonders of the underwater world, providing an unparalleled combination of safety, innovation, and luxury.”
He added, “With Kaibu Island as the ultimate base for exploration, this package sets a new benchmark for adventure and exclusivity. ” The allure of Kaibu Island was exemplified when Hello! magazine in 2018 reported that Harry and Meghan stayed at the opulent Vatuvara Private Island resort on Kaibu during their inaugural Royal tour.
It was a grand venture, with the couple undertaking a 16-day journey across Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand, cramming in a remarkable total of 76 engagements.
