Asia’s beautiful country with 7,000 islands that’s ‘better than Thailand, Japan and China’ | Travel News | Travel

Asia’s tourism industry is on the rise with countries such as Thailand, Japan, and China leading the way, but there is a country that is deemed way better than some of Asia‘s most popular countries. The Philippines in south east Asia is home to unspoilt beaches, tropical weather, and is made up of over 7,000 islands to explore, and according to tourists, the incredible destination beats any other in Asia.

Japan, China, and Thailand all draw tens of millions of tourists annually for their own unqiue reasons. Japan is often praised for its vibrant culture and modern innovations, China for its rich heritage and unique experiences, and Thailand remains a leading destination for backpackers offering plenty of adventures. Yet, Drew Binsky who is famous for sharing travel videos online, and visiting every single country in the world, many of which multiple times, revealed that when it comes to Asia, there is no country that compares to the Philippines. From the stunning landscapes to the warm hospitality, he claims the Philippines is second to none.

After spending two years of his life travelling in the Philippines it is safe to say that the travel vlogger knows a thing or two when it comes to the beautiful country.

“The people are so friendly, the food is one of the most underrated in the world, and honestly if you want the best beaches, look no further than the Philippines,” says Drew.

Every years millions of people jet over to the archipelagic country, with it hitting record numbers of over five million visitors in 2024. As Drew shared, the Philippines boasts extraordinary beaches that feature fine white sand and crystal clear waters. However, it also offers a variety of natural scenery that contribute to its overall beauty.

The country’s central resort island Boracay is one of the Philippines’ most prominent tourism spots. Nestled along the west coast, its white beaches are adorned with palm trees and has plenty of beaches and restaurants where visitors can cool down with a cheap pint which costs as little as 90p, and dine on a three-course meal for two that will set them back just £16.

One visitor wrote on TripAdvisor: “Still the island paradise and no wonder that it is one of the best beaches in the world. The crystal clear water and pure powdery white sand stretching to approximately 3 km makes it an ideal to explore the island from end to end.

“It has a variety of restaurants, local shops and food spots to just stay, lie down and rejuvenate. Lots of activities from sun up to sun down.”
