Amazon dishes out smart £119 TV with upgrade that matches Sky
Amazon has just launched a limited-time deal on one of the very latest smart TVs. The 32-inch Toshiba screen not only supports streaming platforms such as Disney+ and Netflix but also comes pre-installed with Freely. That’s a service which matches the latest Sky Glass TVs with it offering access to live telly channels without the need for an aerial or dish stuck to walls.
This screen is usually priced at £149, but for today only, the price has been cut to £119. That’s a 20 percent saving.
One way that Freely beats Sky is that it’s totally free to watch. So, once the TV has been purchased, there are no extra monthly fees to pay. Of course, there isn’t the same extensive list of channels that Sky offers, but Freely does reduce those subscriptions.
Freely does come with premium features that allow users to pause live content, get movie and TV show recommendations, and check out what’s on now and next via an interactive TV guide and mini guide.
It’s worth noting that this Toshiba screen from Amazon is only HD-ready and not compatible with 4K content.
However, it supports Dolby Atmos audio and runs on Amazon’s Fire TV platform, making it easy to download apps and games and to find things using Alexa.

As we mentioned before, although Freely offers TV via the internet, it can’t match Sky’s vast library of content. Sky’s Glass Gen 2 TV also features an in-built sound bar and smart features such as personalised recommendations and a Playlists function for storing online recordings.
Sky Glass Gen 2 starts from £29 per month, which includes a basic TV package.

One final deal to watch out for comes from Virgin Media. The provider has confirmed that customers can bag a 43-inch LG 4K TV for free. The UK telecoms firm says that customers signing up for some of its TV and broadband bundles will then be sent a 43-inch LG Smart television without paying a penny for the privilege.
