Angry Ginge fumes after demanding fan is kicked out of World Cup match | Football | Sport

Angry Ginge confronted and reported a supporter for alleged racism during England’s draw with Ghana. Thomas Tuchel’s side might have opened their Group L campaign with a 4-2 win over Croatia, but they were held to a 0-0 draw by Ghana at Boston Stadium on Tuesday.

But during the game, Angry Ginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, encountered an alleged racist fan sitting in front of him. In a video uploaded after the game, the Manchester United supporter said: “We have a situation where the gentleman that is sat there is being racist [points to an empty seat in front of him].

“I’ve reported it to the steward because, kick it out is the saying, I will stand by that. So he’s going now to get his supervisor, and we’ll see what happens. There’s no way he should ever set foot in a stadium or watch a football game ever again.”

A message then flashes up on the video, which read: “The man sat in front was making incredibly racist comments toward the Ghanaian national team. Due to this it was only right for me to stand up and deal with this.”

The 24-year-old then claimed that a steward told him no action could be taken unless the fan in question made the comment again. He said: “Apparently, the steward said he can’t kick him out unless he does it again.

“I said there’s no way on earth. All of us have heard it. He’s got to go. So we’re getting a team to kick him out now or something.”

The YouTube content creator never revealed what the supporter said, but on the video, he can be seen turning around and apologising for his remark. “I’m sorry about my comment about Ghana, it won’t happen again,” he said.

“Can we just forget about it?” To which Burtwistle replies: “Forget about you being racist!? No, mate.”

Burtwistle then claims in the video that, although the fan was eventually kicked out of his seat, he was just moved to another part of the stadium to watch the remainder of the game. He said: “It’s absolutely not good enough from the American stewards, the message before the game the message is kick it out – if you see it, say it.

“I’ve gone and reported it, he’s not been kicked out of the stadium. We saw him as we left, he’s been allowed to watch the whole game after the things he was saying about the Ghana team.

“I think it’s an absolute f***ing disgrace he’s been allowed to stay in after I had the evidence and five witnesses heard him say it.

“It’s an absolute f***ing disgrace, it’s wrong on every single level that he can stay and get away with it. I did my part, I couldn’t have done any more.”
