Space X’s next generation Starship V3 rocket is finally set to launch on Thursday after its first flight was twice delayed. The new launch windown opens on Thursday at 5.30pm CT (11.30pm BST).
The V3 has been described by many as the biggest and most powerful rocket ever built. The Starship and Super Heavy booster, which weighs around 5,000 metric tons, measures over 124 metres. It comes equippped with expanded fuel capacity and engines capable of generating 18 million pounds of thrust. This is a critical launch for Space X owner Elon Musk’s aim of one day sending humans to Mars. The launch from Texas will be available on the Daily Express website via the SpaceX website.
