If you’re hunting for a bargain last-minute summer getaway, Ryanair may have just the ticket with their latest slash in fares. The low-cost carrier has unveiled a new flash sale offering discounted fares to two European hotspots.

In a time-limited offer lasting only 48 hours, travellers can save £20/€20 on return flights scheduled between August 16 and September 15. Included in this deal are journeys to the sunny shores of Alicante, Spain, now going from as low as ‘from £75.57’.

Also on the table are reduced fares to Cork, Ireland, with tickets starting at a mere £37.74. Importantly, these savings are an exclusive perk for Ryanair Prime members signed up before July 1, 2025.

These promotions are part of Ryanair’s consistent push to reward its flyers, marking the fourth monthly seat sale since they rolled out their £79/€79 subscriber discount scheme back in March. The airline boasts that just the previous four monthly seat sales have netted Prime subscribers a cool £170/€170 in savings – over twice what they pay for their annual membership.

Speaking on the subject, Ryanair CMO Dara Brady commented to say: “We’re pleased to release our next exclusive Prime Member seat sale, which goes live on Tues, 1 July for 48 hours only. This month we’re giving Prime members €20 off return flights for travel between Sat 16 August to Mon 15 September – the perfect opportunity to book a late summer getaway.”

Even if you’re not currently a Ryanair Prime member, the airline says that you can still sign up to reap future savings and benefits. In addition to exclusive sales, the subscription allows you to book seats for free and provides annual travel insurance coverage every time you fly.

However, it’s important to bear in mind that Ryanair Prime is limited to 250,000 Members on a first-come, first-served basis. Only residents of the following countries, aged 18 and above, are currently eligible:

• Belgium
• France
• Austria
• Germany
• Greece
• Italy
• Ireland
• Netherlands
• UK
• Poland
• Portugal
• Spain

Due to potential restrictions regarding travel insurance, Ryanair also highlights that passengers residing in the following countries will not be able to sign up:

• Luxembourg
• Bosnia and Herzegovina
• Albania
• Jordan
• Switzerland
• Turkey
• Serbia
• Morocco
• Israel
• Montenegro

To register for Ryanair Prime, you must have a Ryanair account, as it is a mandatory requirement for all customers to make bookings on Ryanair.com. Each passenger’s Ryanair account will be updated to reflect their Ryanair Prime Member status.

Aside from Ryanair, it’s important to highlight that other airlines also offer last-minute holiday deals. Currently, easyJet is advertising flight deals to Amsterdam from £20.99, Paris from £14.99, and Barcelona from £18.99, among other destinations.

Meanwhile, British Airways is offering one-way flights from £63 to Rome, £46 to Barcelona and £70 to Amsterdam.
